Why Johnny Can’t Grow Up – Guest Post by Allen Getz, Jr.
The DayCare Generation and the Destruction of Liberty — Why Johnny Cannot Grow Up
When Johnny was a little boy, his parents sent him to Daycare.
They paid the bill, dropped him off in the hands of a stranger, and went on their way.
All the toys belonged to no one, and all was provided by the Center.
He did not need to take care of anything, because the Center provided it all.
Johnny grew up in this system, and as he stands on the doorstep of adulthood . . .
he still thinks this way.
His experiences in DayCare have carried into all of his thinking . . .
The parents who paid his bills now morph into a society providing his needs
The toys which belonged to no one now change into societies possessions

The Center that provides everything becomes a government that gives everything
At this point, Johnny cannot see why some want to be responsible
At this point, Johnny cannot see why some want to be individuals
At this point, Johnny cannot see why some want to think outside the group
Concepts like liberty, freedom, independence make no sense to Johnny
So Johnny lets them go . . .
