The 2018 Assault Weapons Ban: Reactionary Gun Laws and How you are Left Unprotected

America’s History of Reactionary Gun Laws and How you are Left Unprotected

Though you wont find this in “popular” publications, the entirety of American gun laws have come from reactionary minds.

Roosevelt took aim at fully autos during the days of the prohibition with his National Firearms Act of 1934. This was his effort to protect his men from gangsters.

“Federal men are constantly facing machine gun fire in the pursuit of gangsters.”

National Firearms Act 1934: Taxes the manufacture and transfer of, and mandates the registration of Title II weapons such as machine guns, short-barreled rifles and shotguns, heavy weapons, explosive ordnance, silencers, and disguised or improvised firearms.

This was the creation of a law that gangsters would gladly laugh off and would stand only to assure that the average American not have access to these weapons. This was the beginning of how the American public would become outgunned by the criminals, thanks to legislation.

Following some of the most infamous assassinations in history our government banded together to create another piece of legislation. This reactionary Gun Control Act was brought on by the killing of such figure heads as Malcom X, John and Robert Kennedy as well as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This was also coupled with an Omnibus Crime Prevention bill that raised the age of owning a handgun to 21. Sound familiar?

Gun Control Act of 1968: Focuses primarily on regulating interstate commerce in firearms by generally prohibiting interstate firearms transfers except among licensed manufacturers, dealers and importers.

Even the Gun Free School Zones Act of 1990 did little to protect our kids.  Basically, it assured that those who looked to perpetrate crimes against the innocent would be certain of one thing, NO REPRECUSSIONS.

After the dust settles its always clear that without policing, social impacts, reigning in brutal lawyers and creating a public who is capable of defending themselves, you merely create laws that leave the law abiding citizen unprotected. We can follow this line of thinking, and we will, all the way up the rungs to today.

Lets look at the current proposed “Solution”

The Assault Rifle Ban of 2018 was proposed on my birthday. Hurts.

Lets start with the definition of an assault weapon by the lawmakers and congress

The term ‘semiautomatic assault weapon’ means any of the following, regardless of country of manufacture or caliber of ammunition accepted:

(A) A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any 1 of the following:

‘‘(i) A pistol grip.

‘‘(ii) A forward grip.

‘‘(iii) A folding, telescoping, or detachable stock.

‘‘(iv) A grenade launcher or rocket launcher.

‘‘(v) A barrel shroud.

‘‘(vi) A threaded barrel.

The Assault Weapons Ban of 2018 goes far beyond assault rifles. To sum it up simply, they are setting sights on the following:

  • All semiautomatic weapons and magazines with a capacity to hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, this includes handguns.
  • Safe storage of grandfathered weapons, with safety devices.
  • Identification of grandfathered weapons.
  • Identification of grandfathered high capacity magazines.
  • A long list of sporting rifles you are allowed to own, that is about 20 pages of deception used to make you feel good.

It shall be unlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault weapon.I

Assault weapons owned prior to the ban will be grandfathered. According to Justin Peters at Slate.com there are 3.1 million AR-15’s owned by the American public.

The AR Pistol is not safe:

With national reciprocity on the horizon there is this incredible feeling that an AR Pistol could be stored in your car and carried in tandem with a Get Home Bag. For the prepper in me this is exciting news and for the American in me National reciprocity just makes good sense.

Unfortunately that plan is also in the cross hairs of this bill.

A semiautomatic pistol that has the ca-17 pacity to accept a detachable magazine and any 1 of 18 the following: 19 ‘‘(i) A threaded barrel. 20 ‘‘(ii) A second pistol grip. 21 ‘‘(iii) A barrel shroud. 22 ‘‘(iv) The capacity to accept a detachable 23 magazine at some location outside of the pistol 24 grip. 25

4 ‘‘(v) A semiautomatic version of an auto-1 matic firearm. 2 ‘‘(E) A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed maga-3 zine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 4 rounds.

Punishing Our Women

It is the year of #METOO and we have all watched with wide eyes as America has empowered females to be makers of their own destiny. This often meant crushing men under a heal or two, some rightfully so. I wonder why these restrictions don’t scare more women?

Most women are not stronger than most men. Two bad men in a dark alley with one woman are free to do as they please. And they will do with her what they please and leave her for dead. This type of thing happens in America more than any of us would like to admit. Some women disappear and we never find them. Some live to tell their grisly tale.

The great equalizer is the firearm.

If my wife is in such a situation, I want her to take full advantage of her firearm. One bullet does not kill one man. That is a misnomer. In fact, 5 bullets can wound and piss off one man.  Now a rape becomes a murder, for sure. Its not that 10 bullets can’t get the job done. Its that now every criminal knows what our women are topping out at!

This legislation is a disarming of our women who should all be carrying a weapon, in my opinion. It may not happen all the time but it only takes one time. I will train my whole life for the “what if” and no one should get in the way of that. Especially, if there is no one else who is going to protect you.

Closing Statements

The proposed Assault Weapons Ban of 2018 is another reactionary piece of emotional legislation that doesn’t take the average gun owner into consideration. This ban attacks so many guns, and their modified forms, that it is evidence of one major myth in all of this gun control talk.

The myth that the police have the ability to execute instant transmission.

Instant transmission was a technique used by Goku in the Dragonball Z anime. He could focus on a persons ki or power and travel to that person instantly. It doesn’t work that way with cops. There are only so many cops on the streets. I am not going to harp on what you know to be true. This legislation drives home the fact that not only are you going to be limited in what you can own but you better be a good shot because they are even attacking semiautomatic handguns and how many rounds they can hold.

Its another set of restrictions that criminals and mass murdering maniacs will ignore. Rather than facing down the whole problem of mass murder in this nation i.e

  • Psychoactive Drugs
  • American Opportunity and Life and how its affected by unending immigration
  • Firearms Training
  • School Counseling Resources

The government has decided to take the quickest and easiest route without consideration for the law abiding citizens.

If this bill passed, it would be with Republican votes and a President vote. If the Republicans let this happen… Then never vote for a republican again. Our guns will already be affected. So let the system crash and bur.. let the games begain..
