There is no denying that we are who we are today because of the magic of technology. In 65 years technological innovation has simply exploded. Every piece of equipment has been recreated and improved upon. Even some parts of our own bodies have been manipulated and fixed due to these incredible technologies. For that we must applaud those who have pushed hard to go beyond the human limits.

So what’s the inverse? Well, since technology is so very effective and efficient it’s no surprise that it’s EVERYWHERE. Many of us share a workspace with more electronics than people. This has had mental and physical effects on those who live that lifestyle. To me there is no reset more clear than getting away from screens and noise. Mountain tips help you realize that no matter how many pixels you have they can’t compete with a deep look at the milky way. Escaping into the woods allowing your body to fight for balance and your eyes to see great distance is necessary.

The idea that technology is our end is foolish. However, to follow it blindly could not only prove problematic but could completely change our species. So much about the human animal is communal. Do we see the end of that with things like virtual reality? How about to robotic prostheses that are better than actual arms or legs? Tonight I want to talk about the Techno Sapian or the human/technology balance. We all have to work hard to achieve a harmony between the advantages of technology and those things that make us human.

How does this relate to peppers? Are there peppers out there with bobs full of electro gadgets sure. Still, I wouldn’t venture into unknown woods without some sort of GPS. So what’s the answer. Balance. Let’s talk about what that means on the I AM Liberty Show.
